On September 4, 2008, The Honorable Janice Snodgrass, Anderson Township Trustee (Warrick County), and the Honorable Alan Wangler, Anderson Township Board President, received the “Distinguished Hoosier” Award. State Representative Suzanne Crouch and State Senator Vanetta Becker presented the awards for their twenty-five years of service. The event was hosted by the Yankeetown Volunteer Fire Department. The award was granted by Governor Mitch Daniels in honor of their accomplishments, dedication, and loyal service.
