The ITA is conducting a study of Indiana’s 1,002 townships over the course of this year with an expected outcome of recommendations to be made the 2023 Indiana General Assembly to increase efficiency and effectiveness statewide. The study is being guided by a steering committee made up of ITA executive officers and staff and a task force with township officials, state agency representatives, and other stakeholders. We have contracted with the Indiana University Public Policy Institute (IUPPI) to assist us.
